Seeking Narratives of Joy and Beauty in Film, Fiber Arts and Flotsam

Imagine my delight to discover that creativity could become my livelihood. At the University of Texas at Austin, I learned about the power of visuals and text as I majored in Advertising. Working on commercial and public service messages at a Madison Avenue agency drew me to the production world and led me to earn a Master's degree in Film and Video at Columbia College Chicago. Narratives expresssed via film evolved into stories told with yarn. My craft hobbies would become my fine art practice.

From initial dabblings in needlepoint and sewing, my experimentation with fiber arts emerged as conceptual crochet projects featuring repurposed plastic bags and upcycled t-shirts.
